How to Install Yipscazo PVC Peel and Stick Wall Tiles

What You'll Need

  • An all-purpose wall cleaner

  • A small towel or cloth

  • A box cutter or a pair of scissors

  • A Pencil

  • A stainless steel ruler

  • A plastic smoother

How To Install 3D Peel And Stick Wall Tiles

Step 1: Clean the surface

Clean the surface with a powerful grease-remover such as TSP (Tri-Sodium Phosphate). It is important to have a smooth surface in order to achieve a perfect grip. Make sure you allow enough time to the surface to dry properly.

*Tips: If your walls are freshly painted, wait up to three weeks before applying tiles.

Step 2-3: Plan & Cut

Use a pencil and ruler to lightly mark on the wall where each tile will be applied. Use a box cutter and a metal ruler with a cork backing to cut the tiles accurately.

Step 4-5: Peel & Stick

Fold down protective backing, (avoid touching adhesive - dust, dirt and oils will affect its strength) and press lightly to align first tile to your guide. Remove backing, press firmly once you are certain of placement with a plastic smoother to ensure best possible adhesion, especially the grout lines or the most concave area of the tile surface.

*Tips: Typically the backing adhesive will complete the bond to the wall within 48 hours. After 24 hours of installation, Press the grout lines firmly again with a plastic smoother to ensure more perfect adhesion.

Recommended Surface

  • smooth ceramic tiles backsplash, smooth glass tiles backsplash, acrylic wall panel, pained gypsum, wall linoleum, stainless metal, mirror, laminate, wallpaper (if some corners are peeling, just peel them off and install tiles over them).

Important Tips 

  • If your walls are freshly painted, wait up to three weeks before applying tiles.

  • The wall tile can be applied to a clean and sleek surface, it is also available on lightly textured walls. They are not suitable for outdoor settings or on the floor.

  • The wall tile should not be directly in contact with flames, steam, or submerse in water.

  • In long-lasting usage, we recommended keeping 12 inches or 30 cm away from the center of the stove and fireplace.

  • We do not recommend installing 3D Wall Decor Tiles in your shower since they will be in direct contact with water.

  • If you want to remove the tile, you could use a hairdryer to warm up the adhesive and pull softly starting with the corners.

  • Before installation, make sure that the ambient temperature is between 18 °C (65 °F) and 35 °C (95 °F) and that the tiles are at room temperature. If the ambient temperature is not suitable or for other reasons, it is recommended that 3M Purpose 45 Spray Adhesive be used to ensure optimum adhesion.
